Concept New Wearable Gadget HOLLA

Fascination the smart bracelets and SmartWatch started! Here is the modernized concept the new Wearable Gadget. The overall design is very simplified. It’s a wearable smart-gadget that fits snug on your wrist! The design has been made more minimalistic. It has a full 2.2 inch touch display along with an integrated earpiece for taking calls and streaming music. It’s this attention to audio that sets it apart from other wearable devices which often only focus on the tactile and visual senses. Holla uses NFC, Bluetooth and WiFi for seamless connectivity to all your other devices, making data transfers fast and easy. Overall, this looks like an odd MP3 player, or something that the actors in Star Trek would wear. Holla hands free earpiece charges via pogo pins, so there’s no need for an extra charge unit.

SkyTrain: 2-Person Maglev Monorail Could Replace Cars

Two-person monorail pods zoom down from the sky at a command from your smart phone in a futuristic commercial transit system set to be installed in Israel. The on-demand system appears to be a realistic answer to the age-old objection lobbed against public transportation by lovers of the personal vehicle: buses, trains and subways don’t work around your own schedule.

Not only can you just walk up to the monorail station and hop right onto your own personal pod without having to share your space with strangers – this monorail technology is far more advanced than a vehicle that the average person could ever own. And it’s not just a concept dazzling the internet for a few days before it’s forgotten, destined to someday become a laughable unrealized vision of the retro-future. Or so it seems.

SkyTran Inc. has signed an agreement to build an actual high-speed levitating monorail system at the Israel Aerospace Industry campus in Lod, Israel. Suspended 20 feet above the ground, the hovering maglev-based monorail handily solves traffic problems by whizzing over the streets at high speeds.

Of course, the question is, will it catch on? Plenty of cool ideas were constructed as temporary demonstrations, but were never actually reproduced for public use. It’s hard to say, but it’s an interesting compromise, and passive magnetic levitation technology is poised to become an efficient and sustainable way to get around big cities.

Forget micro scooters, this vehicle fits inside a HANDBAG: Lightweight design collapses to the size of an A4 piece of paper

From children to high-flying businesses executives, fold-up scooters are a popular way to get around town quickly, but they're often bulky and awkward to carry.
Now there’s a new design of scooter that's so tiny, it folds up to the size of an A4 piece of paper.
A university student created the award-winning scooter by linking pieces of aluminium with a cable, which when tightened, pull them together to support an adult’s weight.

The scooter was designed by London-based student George Mabey. It works by linking parts of aluminium with a cable which, when tightened, pull them together to support an adult's weight. At its smallest, the scooter (pictured) is approximately 8-inches wide and 11-inches tall - the same size as an A4 piece of paper

The lightweight scooter (pictured with its designer George Mabey) weighs less than 11lbs (5kg) and will be on display at an exhibition at London South Bank University from Saturday. There are plans to release the scooter and Mabey claims it will cost around £1,000 ($1,680) - but the date has not been released

The product (pictured) recently won the top prize at the Power of Aluminium Awards, which celebrates innovative uses of the metal. Mabey picked up his award at a ceremony hosted by the Aluminium Federation, and held at the Houses of Parliament

The scooter (pictured) will be a lightweight alternative to the current foldable bikes used by commuters

The New Hippiemobile

It’s hard not to compare Eduardo Galvani’s Nimbus concept to the iconic VW bus, but one look and you know it’s been designed to go a lot of places the VW couldn’t. Under that retro styling is a hybrid lithium-ion battery powered engine cranking out 180hp with selectable 4WD, as well as a gas generator and solar cells on the roof to provide supplemental energy and greater range. Panoramic windows, comfy stadium seats, climate control and top-of-the-line entertainment system make it the ultimate adventure van!

Undulating wave-like desk weaves through modern office

A white resin ribbon cuts a curving path through an office for a digital creative agency, seating all 125 employees and rising into occasional arches filled with storage niches. Finished in a gleaming gloss like a surfboard, the ‘Superdesk‘ eliminates the need for cubicles and creates semi-private spaces for meetings.

Designed by Clive Wilkinson Architects for New York City-based The Barbarian Group, the structure turns furniture into architecture, complete with roofs, dividing up a large warehouse-like space into smaller and more intimate sections.

The arches direct foot traffic through the space, while the continuous design creates a dialogue between different divisions of the company, an effect that architect Wilkinson describes as “making a village within a building.”  Benches and additional tables are built into the rooms-within-rooms created in the areas where the white desk surface is raised.

Ease Your Back Pain With an Ergonomically-Designed Shovel

Digging a hole in the dirt is a literal pain in the back – and neck, and shoulders, and arms. The ergonomic shovels from Bosse Tools use unique rotating handles to ease the strain on your body and make your digging projects far less strenuous.

Traditional shovels force you to move your body into unnatural positions and angles. By adding a rotating handle to the middle of the design, Bosse’s shovels allow the user to assume a more natural and comfortable hand position while eliminating the need to bend over too far.

Another benefit of the redesigned shovels is the U-shaped foot space above the shovels’ blades. Rather than having to stomp on one side or the other of the shovel’s handle, users apply pressure to the middle of the blade. This allows for greater power on the downward push and greatly decreased back strain.

Currently, the company offers spades, flathead shovels and snow shovels. All feature the unique ergonomic design that ensures you’ll never again be able to get out of doing yard work because of a sore back.
