There’s a bunch of game console adapters on the market at the moment, all designed to make your phone into a full on gaming phenomenon. Of course one small damper on that vision is the fact that most phone games are designed with touchscreens in mind, which makes gamepad play rather redundant. But now at last a company has actually thought about that and come up with a solution.
The Phonejoy is an versatile game console adapter for phones, and by the looks of it, even smaller tablet computers. The device features a slider mechanism which accepts varying phone sizes, and provides all the functionality of a dedicated gaming console, with D-Pads, buttons, thumbsticks and the rest.
The thing actually looks pretty neat, and we like the fact that you can collapse it for stowing in a pocket or bag. But what we like mostly is the fact that the developers have come out of the blocks with support for some 400 Android and iOS games, which makes it actually sound like it might be worth getting.
